Thank you for taking the time to look at my portfolio! I’m a December 2024 graduate from the University of Arizona. I have a B.A. in Information Science and Arts with a double minor in Japanese and Game Design & Development. I’m an aspiring UX designer just waiting for my chance to emerge in the field!

Wizardry, Wireframe, & Wishes
When you think about it, wizards and UX designers aren’t that different. Both of them create something out of nothing often for the benefit of the people around them. A good wizard knows the right spells just like a good UX designer knows the right tools to make something amazing.
So, using my magic I made this portfolio to show off my skills. I made it with a wish that it would create a positive user experience and maybe even bring a smile to your face. ☺

A portfolio ideally shows people who you are and what you can do. As someone who was a full-time student with only assignments to show what I’m made of- I decided that my portfolio would be its own design project.
-
At the beginning and end of all ideas is the one who will experience it, the user, aka the person who is reading this right now.
“How could I make my portfolio a refreshing and positive experience for my users?”
This is what I asked myself at the start of this creative process.
Colors, navigation, clarity, and enjoyment were the main things I wanted to focus on.
Colors:
I wanted to use colors that were soothing to the senses, this made me thing of lavender flowers that ease you down into relaxation. The shades of purples and blue are meant to emulate that sensation.
Navigation:
It needed to be simple, there’s nothing more frustrating than using a website that’s hard to navigate. I kept it streamlined and simple. There' should be no reason to get lost on a website. A good designer should give you the map.
Clarity:
While similar to navigation, this refers to more than just the visual characteristics. I wanted there to be clarity about who I am and what I can do. After going through my portfolio you should know who I am.
Enjoyment:
This might not seem like an important design component, but life is too short to look at boring websites! I wanted my users to enjoy their experience with my portfolio. In a world that’s cut and dry we could all use a little more fun in our daily lives.

Putting it all together I created two different wire-frames for my website. One using Figma and one I drew on Procreate. These were my blueprints I referenced while making this website.
A positive user experience is cultivated and nurtured not neglected for the sake of speed and profit.
I took my time and listened to what users had to say. I had a variety of people, from family and friends, to mentors and professors, view my portfolio and let their unique experiences contribute to the finalization of my portfolio.
